About the speakers:

Junior Foong
Art Director

Junior is an experienced art director based in Singapore. His most recent filmography includes includes ZOMBIEPURA, WHEN GHOST MEETS ZOMBIE, HBO'S SERANGOON ROAD, and AH BOYS TO MEN 3.

He finds great passion in building worlds from stories to create realistic environments for actors to immerse in, and perform to their fullest potential.

To Junior, art direction and production design for film is about triggering the performers' five senses using colours, props and even smell. This sense of reality will translate onscreen to give audiences a magical experience of watching movies.

Jacen Tan

Named 'Singapore’s latest film funnyman” by The Straits Times, Jacen Tan is one of Singapore’s most exciting young filmmakers. In the pre-YouTube days of 2005, Jacen’s first short film, Tak Giu (Kick Ball), became a viral hit on the Internet, causing servers to crash due to overwhelming traffic. His latest short film, Homeground, was selected for the POSB Storytellers Grant in 2015.

Jacen combines his love for horror comedy and his experiences from serving in the army to make his first feature film, Zombiepura. It was selected as the opening film for Scream Asia Film Festival 2018 and has since been acquired by Contents Panda, the producer-distributor of Korean box office hit, ‘Train to Busan’.
